Product thinking
Starts with a real user problem and considers the complete experience, not only the first feature.
Lucas Wu / Bay Area / Class of 2029
I’m a Bay Area high school student who takes golf seriously, approaches new ideas with curiosity, and enjoys turning what I learn into something useful. Whether I’m competing, studying, or creating, I’m always looking for the next way to improve.
Good ideas are only the beginning. Progress comes from learning, acting, and following through—turning a question into an idea, and an idea into something that can help others. I still have much to learn, but every challenge I take on expands what I can learn, what I can build, and what I can contribute next.
The person behind the book
Golf is where I compete, learn, and keep improving. When I encountered a problem many golfers share, I used technology to create a practical solution.
What began as a golf problem became a lesson in much more: understanding users, making tradeoffs, building a brand, working through technical challenges, and improving a product after people actually use it. That experience reflects how I approach any challenge: understand it deeply, identify what could be improved, and follow through until an idea becomes a practical result.
On the course
Golf has been a meaningful part of my high-school years—through team competition, junior events, and opportunities to give back to the game.
Business & technology
I turn concepts into products by understanding the problem, shaping the experience, building the system, and following through on the details that earn trust.
My projects bring business and technology into the same process. I set the direction, make the key decisions, and continue developing each product as it reaches people, improves through use, and grows into something meaningful.

Uses AI to accelerate research, coding, testing, and iteration—while setting the direction, making the key decisions, and validating the final result.
Works across software, data, web, mobile, and physical design to turn ideas into usable products.
Considers positioning, customers, evidence, risk, operations, and the decisions that support responsible growth.
“Technology matters most to me when it helps turn a useful idea into something real.”
The engineering is part of the story. The larger interest is how products earn trust, reach people, and grow responsibly.
An open invitation
I value opportunities to learn from golfers, coaches, founders, business leaders, and anyone with a perspective to share. If you have feedback on Lucas Green Book, an idea worth exploring, or see a way we could work together, I’d be glad to hear from you.
